Water treatment and environmental protection engineering
Pump control
Water supply system: Install two float switches for high and low liquid levels in the water tank and water tower. When the water level is low, start the water pump to replenish water; when the water level is high, stop the water pump to prevent overflow and dry running.
Drainage system: Install high-level float switches in sump pits, sewage ponds and basement foundation pits. When the liquid level rises to the set height, the sewage pump starts automatically. Stop the sewage pump when the liquid level drops to the lowest point.
Water treatment equipment
Filters and softeners: They are used to control the start and stop of the backwashing process, usually by monitoring the liquid level in the brine tank.
Wastewater treatment: In the regulating tank, sedimentation tank, reaction tank and other links, it is used to control the start and stop of pumps, agitators or dosing equipment.
Industrial cooling and heating systems
Cooling tower: Monitor the liquid level in the water collection tray of the cooling tower and automatically control the water replenishment solenoid valve to prevent the water level from being too low and causing the water pump to be sucked out or too high and causing overflow.
Boiler: As a simple protective device for the liquid level of the boiler, it alarms or stops the boiler when the water level is extremely low to prevent dry burning accidents (usually used in conjunction with more precise electrode or capacitive liquid level gauges).
Expansion tank: Monitor the liquid level of the system's expansion tank to ensure the stability of the system pressure.
Petroleum, chemical and process industries
In this field, the material selection of float switches is of vital importance. Generally, corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel (like 304, 316L), PP (polypropylene), and PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) are required.
Storage tank liquid level monitoring: It is used for various chemical raw material storage tanks and finished product tanks to achieve high and low liquid level alarms or interlock control of pumps.
Process control: In the reaction vessel and mixing tank, control the feeding and discharging of materials to ensure that the reaction takes place within a safe liquid level range.
Oil medium: Used in oil tanks, lubricating oil tanks, etc. of oil-fired boilers, to control the oil filling pump or issue low oil level alarms.
Other special applications
Marine shipping: Used for liquid level alarm in the bottom tanks, ballast tanks and fuel tanks of ships.
Agricultural irrigation: Control the water level of reservoirs or water towers and automatically start and stop irrigation pumps.
Fire protection system: Monitor the water level of the fire water tank to ensure an adequate supply of fire-fighting water.
