LM800S explosion-proof float level sensor

The LM800S type liquid level sensor is equipped with an internal Hall magnetic sensitive element. The external magnetic float monitors the liquid level position as it rises or falls. It can continuously measure the liquid level and is available with NBR oil-based float and stainless steel float. It can be applied to different media. With a simplified and miniaturized design and an attractive appearance, it meets the requirements of equipment upgrades.

    Product Applications

    1. Machine tool field

    Application scenarios

    Cutting fluid/coolant tank: This is the most typical application. It is used to monitor the liquid level of the storage tank for cutting fluid or emulsion.

    Hydraulic oil tank: The hydraulic system of machine tools (such as tool magazines, tool-changing manipulators, and spindle box balancing) requires a stable supply of hydraulic oil.

    Lubricating oil tank: An oil tank for the automatic lubrication system of components such as guide rails, lead screws, and bearings.

    Cooling circulation system: Water tanks for the main shaft cooling and electrical control cabinet cooling systems.

    Core function

    Low-level alarm and automatic replenishment: When the liquid level drops below the set lower limit, the sensor sends a signal, triggering the alarm light or notifying the PLC, and can automatically start the liquid supply pump until the liquid level returns to the high set point and stops. This ensures the continuity of the processing procedure and the cooling and lubrication effect of the tool/workpiece, avoiding the damage to the equipment caused by "dry burning".

    High-level alarm and anti-overflow: To prevent liquid from overflowing due to faults in the automatic liquid filling system or operational errors, which could contaminate the working environment and damage electrical components.

     
    2. Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems

    Application scenarios

    Hydraulic station oil tank: The "heart" of the hydraulic system, the liquid level is of vital importance.

    Lubricating oil cup/oil-gas lubrication system: An oil cup that provides lubrication for pneumatic components such as cylinders and valves.

    Condensate water discharge from air storage tanks: Although it does not directly measure the oil level, it can be used to monitor the water level of condensate water in the air storage tank and trigger the automatic drain valve to work.

    Core function

    Prevent pump suction: If the hydraulic oil level is too low, it will cause the oil pump to suck, resulting in cavitation and seriously damaging the expensive hydraulic pump. Low-level alarm is the most fundamental and important protective measure for hydraulic systems.

    Ensuring system pressure and stability: Sufficient oil level is the foundation for maintaining normal system pressure and flow. Abnormal liquid level is an early indicator of system leakage or failure.

    Ensure lubrication of pneumatic components: Guarantee that pneumatic tools and components are properly lubricated to reduce wear and extend service life.

     

    3. Pumps and Compressors

    Application scenarios

    The sump/water tank of the water pump: monitors the water level of the water source, controls the start and stop of the pump, and realizes automatic drainage or water supply.

    Crankcase/lubricating oil circuit of the air compressor: Monitor the lubricating oil level to prevent the compressor from operating in a state of oil shortage.

    Intercooler/aftercooler of large compressors: Monitor the condensate water level and control automatic drainage.

    Core function

    Dry running protection: For water pumps, it prevents idling without water. For compressors, prevent oil-free operation. This is one of the most effective measures to protect core power equipment and can avoid catastrophic failure.

    Automatic control and energy conservation: Automatically start and stop the equipment based on the liquid level to achieve automated operation and avoid unnecessary idle consumption of the equipment.

     

    4. Mechanical manufacturing and automation equipment

    Application scenarios

    Central cooling system: A large storage tank that provides coolant for the entire workshop or production line.

    Central lubrication system: An oil tank that centrally supplies oil to multiple equipment points on the production line.

    Cleaning machine/spray system: Monitor the liquid level of cleaning solution or clear water.

    Electroplating lines, painting lines: Monitor the liquid levels of various chemical tanks and water tanks.

    Material conveying system: such as for detecting the oil level of hydraulic buffers or hydraulic drive units.

    The lubrication system for the seventh axis of the robot: Monitors the lubricating oil level of the gears.

    Core function

    Ensuring fully automated production: In "unmanned" or minimally manned intelligent workshops, self-monitoring of equipment status (such as liquid level) is a prerequisite for achieving continuous and stable production. Any shutdown caused by liquid level issues will result in the entire production line coming to a halt.
