KATU has launched a compact electromagnetic flowmeter, suitable for measuring conductive liquids with a diameter ranging from DN4 to DN50.

Based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction, when a conductive body passes perpendicularly through a magnetic field B, a voltage will be induced. In this flowmeter, the moving conductor is a flowing conductive medium. The magnetic field B is emitted in a direction perpendicular to the flowing medium. The induced electromotive force U on the two electrodes E1 and E2 is directly proportional to the flow velocity V of the medium.
