TC110 Mechanical temperature switch

The TC110 series bimetallic strip is made by pressing two metals with different coefficients of thermal expansion together to form a bimetallic strip. When the temperature changes, the bimetallic strip will bend due to the difference in expansion degree, which in turn drives the contact to act. It features a simple structure, low cost, durability and strong anti-interference ability.

In practical use, this bimetallic strip design enables the TC110 series to operate stably in relatively harsh environments. It is sensitive and accurate in sensing temperature, capable of promptly capturing subtle changes in environmental temperature and responding quickly.     Product Applications

    1. Fuel tank temperature monitoring and control

    Function: High-temperature alarm

    Action: When the oil temperature rises to the preset alarm value, the normally open contact closes, connecting the alarm circuit (sound and light alarm) to alert the operator to pay attention.

    Function 2: Over-temperature shutdown protection

    Action: When the oil temperature continues to rise to a more dangerous set value, the normally closed contact opens, cutting off the main motor control circuit and forcing the hydraulic pump or the main unit to shut down. For such applications, it is strongly recommended to use the manual reset type to prevent the device from automatically restarting before the fault is eliminated.

    Function 3: Low-temperature start-up protection/Heater control

    Action: In a cold environment, if the oil temperature is too low, it will cause the viscosity to be too high, making it difficult for the pump to draw oil and resulting in cavitation damage. At this point, the specially set low-temperature switch (normally closed type) closes its contacts at low temperatures, automatically connecting the oil tank heater. When the oil temperature rises to the appropriate range, the contact opens and the heating stops.

    2. Temperature monitoring of return oil pipeline

    Installed on the return oil line of the main system, it is used to monitor the temperature of the oil that has been heated up after the system has done work.

    Function: More directly reflect the working temperature rise of the system core. The cooling system can be interlocked and controlled.

    3. Temperature monitoring of key friction pairs

    It is installed at positions such as bearing housings and gearbox housings close to key friction pairs.

    Function: Directly monitor the temperature rise of components such as bearings and gears. Once abnormal temperature rise occurs due to poor lubrication, excessive load or installation problems, the switch will act and alarm to stop the machine, protecting these expensive and core components.

    4. Interlocking control of the cooling system

    Function: Linked with the high-temperature alarm signal of the fuel tank or return oil circuit. When an alarm signal is issued, the fan of the air cooler or the solenoid valve of the water cooler is automatically activated to forcibly cool the system.

    5. Bimetallic strip type temperature switch

    Application scenarios

    Small equipment: Small hydraulic station, lubrication pump unit.

    Motor winding overheat protection: Directly embedded in the motor winding, it protects the motor itself (although it does not directly belong to the hydraulic system, it is the drive part).

    Cost-sensitive applications: Due to its lower cost, it still has applications in places where precision and remote installation requirements are not high.
